This unique scarf was created by felting together superfine Australian Merino wool and silk gauze. The piece was then naturally dyed with Indigo, then over dyed with a variety of plant materials (eucalyptus, maple, rose, and bay leaves, pine needles) and rusted objects (bottle caps, nails). The scarf was enhanced with a felting method that incorporates "scales" of felt throughout the surface for an added interest of texture, a nod to my love of fish, and a unique piece of "wearable art".
